Turmeric Tea: A Natural Remedy for Inflammation and Joint Pain

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of water
  • ½ teaspoon of either, the ground turmeric or freshly minced turmeric root.
  • Pinch of black pepper (to increase the absorption of curcumin)
  • Honey or lemon (optional)

Instructions:

  • Place the small saucepan on a stovetop and boil about 1 cup of water.
  • While waiting for the water to boil, add in either the powdered or grounded turmeric in the boiled water.
  • Then lower the heat and let it simmer for approximately 10 minutes. This process will enable turmeric to be active and freely exchange their properties to the liquid.
  • Once the tea is ready, pour it into a cup making sure to leave any solid pieces of turmeric behind.
  • Incorporate a little black pepper as this should help with the absorption of curcumin.
  • Optional: To further enhance the taste, incorporate honey or lemon.
